TruGenetics™ Personalized Genetic Profile
Service is uniquely designed to help you explore your genes,
empower you to take control of your own health and enable
you to participate in scientific research. The genetic results
you receive from TruGenetics™ will be accompanied
by lifestyle recommendations that can assist you in preventing
or managing some of the genetic predispositions you may
have for various traits or diseases.

data for over 500,000 of your genetic markers.
Here's How It Works (4
Simple Steps)
1. Register
Registering is easy. Just click on the
Register link on any page, and you will be directed to our
registration page where you will be asked to provide us
with needed information. In addition please note:

Enroll online via a secure, encrypted,
password-protected website. |

Read and sign the TruGenetics™ informed
consent. |

Take the TruGenetics™ personalized
risk assessment survey – a secure online questionnaire
about your family history, health behaviors and other
environmental factors. You will also receive periodic
questionnaires after you receive your results. |

Submit a small sample of your saliva*,
from which your DNA will be extracted. Your saliva collection
kit will be sent directly to your home. Once you have
collected your saliva sample you can simply place it
into the prepaid envelope and ship it back to us. |
2. Complete Survey
The TruGenetics™ personalized risk
assessment survey is designed to complement your genetic
scan results, allowing TruGenetics™ to help you organize
your complete personal health profile, which you will be
able to access and update at any time. You will also be
able to participate in scientific research by adding your
health information to our secure anonymized database that
will be used to make new scientific discoveries.
3. Provide DNA Sample
This is how TruGenetics™ will get
your DNA for testing. The process is simple. You will receive
a small package in the mail containing a small tube. You
will fill the tube with your saliva; seal the tube; and
mail it back to us within 24 hours in the postage paid envelope
provided.
Its that easy.
4. Get Your Results
When TruGenetics™ receives your saliva sample, we
will extract your DNA and scan it in our CLIA certified
laboratory. We will determine your genotypes for a set of
traits and diseases that have been found to have a genetic
risk in the latest scientific studies. If you are not interested
in all of these traits and diseases, you will have the option
to not review some of these results.
These genetic information, along with the
health information that you provide, will be combined to
create a personalized health record that will be organized
for you to review and manage. This will be available to
you through our secure portal at any time using your secure
password and log in. You will also be able to explore and
interact with the data to gain a deeper understanding of
your profile.
